Trupanion insurance claims fill themselves in from the patient record

Submitting a Trupanion claim used to mean retyping patient details and billables that were already sitting in the record.

Patient details and billable line items now sync to Trupanion automatically, so nothing gets entered twice. Front desk teams can send an eligible pet parent a same-day Exam Day Offer straight from Digitail, giving an uninsured patient instant coverage without slowing down the visit. Pre-approval on cost coverage for bigger treatments is also available before a client commits, so nobody is left guessing what’s covered.

Clients get faster answers on coverage, and nobody on your team spends the afternoon re-entering what Digitail already had.

DVM performance and revenue by category, without manual exports

Practice owners running iVET360 used to pull exports from Digitail by hand just to see how the clinic was performing.

Digitail records now sync with iVET360 automatically every night, so no export or upload is required. iVET360 turns that data into reports on DVM performance, marketing effectiveness, new client activity, and revenue by category, pulling directly from the billing records already inside Digitail.

Owners get a real read on the numbers that matter without asking anyone to run a report first.

Send a prescription to a client’s inbox in a few clicks

Printing or downloading an external prescription and attaching it to a separate email used to be the only option. An email icon now sits inside the prescription details preview, and a personal note can be added before it goes out. The prescription lands straight in the client’s inbox on file, and every send gets logged automatically in their communication history.

Other Improvements

Client email replies land right inside Digitail

Replies from pet parents now route straight back into the original Client Communications thread and get attributed to the right client automatically. Staff read and respond right there, with no separate inbox to check and no mailbox credentials to share. A thread with a new reply jumps to the top of the list, and any record linked to a communication shows a reply count with one click through to the full conversation.

Treatment plans that attach themselves to the visit

Vets and technicians no longer need to reattach the same canned treatment plan every time a routine visit type comes up. An existing treatment plan can now be linked to any record template inside the template editor, so the plan comes in automatically once that template is applied to a visit. It stays fully editable, so it can still be adjusted before it reaches the client, and routine visits like dentals and wellness exams close out faster with fewer missed charges along the way.

Early Access

Wellness plan cancellations calculate their own settlement

Canceling a Wellness Plan used to mean doing clawback math by hand, chasing down payment, and guessing when it was actually safe to close the plan. Digitail now compares what a client has paid against the services they have used and calculates the settlement on its own. The client gets a summary email with a pay-now link, so no manual invoice goes out, and the plan cancels itself and updates reports as soon as payment clears. This one is available now in early access now. Reach out to your Digitail contact to get set up.

Book several surgery drop-offs at the same time

Staggering drop-off times to dodge booking conflicts, then calling clients to fix the reminder that followed, has been part of running a busy surgery schedule for too long.

Several surgical, dental, or sedation patients can now share a single drop-off time, with no forced staggering and no false conflicts. Client reminders show the correct arrival time instead of the procedure time, and adjusting the procedure time internally doesn’t trigger a cancellation or reschedule notice. This one is also live in early access, so loop in your Digitail contact if you want it turned on.
