Do I need a Digitail account to use Tails VIP?
No. Download Tails VIP and record your first 5 SOAP note transcriptions with no account at all. Create a free account any time to keep transcribing SOAP notes during your appointments as a standalone user.
Digitail PIMS customers get additional benefits such as automatic syncing to appointments, additional customisation, and visibility of client and patient information. If you are a Digitail PIMS customer you should log in to the app using your original PIMS login details.
What changes if I am a Digitail PIMS customer?
As a Digitail customer, your notes sync automatically to the right patient record and appointment, and you can customize exactly what each note includes from inside the PIMS. You can also see your tasks and notifications inside the app.
For non-PIMS customers, standalone use of Tails VIP fills standard SOAP fields only, with no syncing or customization.
Can I use Tails VIP without an internet connection?
Yes, for both standalone and Digitail users. Tails VIP records in full offline mode, capturing audio even with no signal. Once you reconnect, you can transcribes and it automatically syncs to the web. Nothing is lost in between.
Can I use the Apple Watch app without a Digitail account?
Yes. The Apple Watch app works for both standalone and Digitail users. Record from your wrist, then import to your iPhone. If you belong to more than one clinic, you’ll choose which clinic to import to.
Can I use an Android Smartwatch with Tails VIP?
No. While Tails VIP is available for Android mobile phones, it does not currently have an android smartwatch companion app. You can register your interest here and join the waitlist.
Is Tails VIP included in my Digitail plan?
Tails VIP can be used with the Mobile plan as a standalone scribe for free. Customers on our Growth and Growth AI plans have access at no extra cost. If you are on our Mobile plan, you can try the full advanced version free for one month.
